Ultrasounds
Dr. Metcalfe and Dr. Webb are proud to announce a new partnership with Oncura Partners Diagnostics to bring advanced imaging services right here to Cañon City!
We are now offering abdominal ultrasounds, and very soon, full echocardiograms (heart ultrasounds) — complete with consultation and detailed reports from board-certified veterinary specialists — all without you having to leave town.
Why Might Your Pet Need an Abdominal Ultrasound?
An abdominal ultrasound is a non-invasive, painless imaging tool that helps us evaluate internal organs in real time. It may be recommended for:
- Unexplained vomiting or diarrhea
- Weight loss or decreased appetite
- Abnormal bloodwork
- Suspected masses or tumors
- Liver, kidney, spleen, or bladder concerns
- Urinary issues or recurrent infections
- Suspected foreign bodies
- Monitoring chronic conditions
Ultrasound allows us to see what we cannot feel on exam or detect on X-rays alone — giving us clearer answers and helping guide the best treatment plan.
Coming Soon: Full Echocardiograms
Heart disease can be silent in its early stages. Having access to complete echocardiograms with specialist interpretation means earlier diagnosis, accurate staging, and better long-term management — all locally.
Why Board-Certified Support Matters
Partnering with board-certified veterinary radiologists and cardiologists ensures:
✔ Expert image interpretation
✔ Accurate, up-to-date recommendations
✔ Collaborative case management
✔ Peace of mind knowing your pet’s case is reviewed by specialists
